Four Beautifully Made Large Knives, As-New Old Stock
Here are four brand new condition knives in their original boxes, some in factory wrappings, all purchased in the 1990s or earlier. All four are of fine quality, and in mint condition:
Ambassador Bowie Knife & Sheath. This is a very attractive large knife by Ridge Runner and made in China, with a long bowie style blade, no guard, and a wooden grip with brown enameled bolster and pommel inlaid in silver metal in handsome floral patterns. The wood is highly polished and of a reddish hue, making a really striking appearance on a well-balanced knife. It is marked on the ricasso: RR588 Stainless Steel, Handcrafted in China, with the Ridge Runner mark on the other side. It is in a black tactical nylon sheath in its original wrapping and box. Size: 16 1/4 inches long overall with a 10 1/2 inch blade.
Western Outlaw Bowie Knife & Sheath by Timber Rattler Cutlery, made in Pakistan. This is a large bowie style knife, but with a slanted cross guard. It has a polished wooden grip with brass rivets, brass guard and pommel, and brown leather sheath. The blade has two narrow fullers, and is still in its original factory wrappings in its original box. Size:16 1/2 inches overall, with an 11 inch blade.
Coast Sport Knives Surf Bowie & Sheath, made in Taiwan. A handsome large bowie with brass guard and pommel, polished wooden grip, and black leather sheath with a tiger on it. The blade is stainless steel, made for Coast in Taiwan. It is in its original box. Size: 14 inches overall with a 9 1/4 inch blade.
Tarzan Licensed Collectible 100th Anniversary Bowie Knife with Wooden Stand, mint in its original wrappings and box. The blade has scenes from various Tarzan illustrations by Boris Vallejo color lithographed onto the blade. The blade is marked: 2011 Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. on both sides of the ricasso. It has a bright steel guard, and a handsome polished wood grip. Accompanying the knife is a black lacquered display stand. No sheath accompanied the knife.. Size: 14 inches overall with a 9 1/4 inch blade.
