Flintlock Muff Pistol W/ Scale Carved Grip

A very fine flintlock muff pistol, probably French made, circa 1790. It has a turn-off barrel, folding trigger, frame mounted safety, a very unusual and handsomely bag grip that has a pattern of fish scales carved into it, silver wire inlay, a dog engraved on one side of the mechanism, and a partridge engraved on the other. Size: 6 inches long overall, with the bore of .52 caliber. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

Very good condition. The carving and wire inlay are excellent and all intact. The barrel unscrews. The metal has minor staining and traces of old rust. The main spring is a little weak, but the action works well.
