Five American Older Folding Knives: Marbles, Ulster, Colonial, Challenge, & Gerber

A very interesting group of five American made folding knives, ranging in date from the 1900s to the 1980s: A very interesting and quite early Marbles Safety Knife for fishing with a Patent date of 1904, having an all metal cover that folds open to reveal the knife blade that folds open again to open, and then part closes to lock the blade in place. The blade is single edged, with serrations for scaling along the back of the blade. This is a rare old U.S, made Marbles. Size: 4 1/2 inches when closed, 8 inches when open and locked. Ulster Knife Company New York made folding knife with two blades, one a robust knife blade with a sharp double edged point, the other a short blunt pointed blade. The knife is marked Ulster Knife Co. N.Y.There is an escutcheon on the wooden grips that seems to be brass.or bronze. Size: 4 inches long when closed, 7 1/4 inches long when open. Colonial, Providence Rhode Island two bladed folding knife with two blades, with "Fishing Knife" on an escutcheon on the grip. The second blade has a saw and a tiny fork at the end. Size: 5 inches when closed, 9 inches when open. Challenge folding knife with a single blade, made by the Challenge Cutlery Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut, with stag grips. Size: 5 inches when closed, 9 inches open. Gerber single blade folding knife with hard plastic grips, and a belt clip, The blade is stamped: E-Z-OUT U.S.A. and GERBER 450, and has a cut-out in the back of the blade. Size: The knife is 4 3/8 inches when closed, 8 inches when open. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Condition:

The Marbles knife is very good, with some minor bumps in the safety grip. The blade is gray, and is a little loose, but the knife overall is tight and very good. The Ulster knife is very good, n=but there are some minor nicks in the second blade. The other three knives are excellent, with the Gerber appearing to be mint, unused.
