Chinese Celadon Ginger Jar w/ Interesting Decoration, circa 1870

Very handsome and excellent Chinese celadon ginger jar and lid, decorated with pots, scrolls, a desk, flowers, a Go game, and export boxes. The jar has been used and has a faint aroma of soy. It has been appraised and identified as dating to the T'ung Chih era of the Ch'ing dynasty, about 1870. It is very finely decorated, but has clearly been used for food storage in the past. Size: 13 inches tall and 8 inches wide.

Condition:

The jar is excellent, but the lid has two very small chips on its lip.
