Antique Inlaid Mahogany Poker Set with Ceramic Chips, Card, Bridge Counter

A remarkable poker set with 338 ceramic poker chips, four antique decks of cards, and a celluloid bridge counter from L’Escalier Liquor Distributors with a 3-digit phone number! The footed mahogany case is brass bound, and has what are probably bone inlays, including the original owner’s initials: JBH. The front of the box flips down to disclose two “hidden” drawers. Two of the decks of cards are still in their boxes, one from the “Reno Club,” in Reno, Nevada, and the other from American iron & Machine Works. Both have broken revenue stamps. Size: 12 ¾ by 8 ¾ by 5 ¼ inches, weight 6 lbs. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

About excellent. The box itself is excellent. There is some minor mixing to the chips, although the overwhelming majority match, with the four card suits on them. The bridge counter is mint, and the cards are very good to excellent.
