A. Stowell & Co. Boston Double Hunter Pocket Watch with Coin Silver Case
A very heavy double hunter cased watch by A. Stowell & Co. of Boston. The watch has a coin silver case and weighs 4.55 ounces! It has a white enameled face with Roman numerals and a seconds dial, and the back of the case has flowers engraved on it. The inside of the case is stamped Monarch Coin. A Stowell & Company were a retailer of jewelry in Boston from 1822 until the early 1880s. This watch has A Stowell & Co. Boston engraved on the movement, and serial number 81035.
