A Silver Gelatin Print - Lake County's Lady Sheriff has Lost Her Prisoner
International News Photos Inc. photograph with stamps and typed mimeograph description on back, "Crown point, Ind. Mrs. Lillian Holley, who is sheriff of Lake County, Ind. has just lost her most noted prisoner, John F. Dillinger. Dillinger, recently returned from Tucson, Arizona to face murder and robbery charges here was released from the Crown Point Jail by a colored accomplice, who entered the institution with a machine gun, and held eight guards at bay while he opened the cell door of his pal."
