A Bullet Proof Vest

Made by "Dunright, Detective Pub Company of Chicago," of navy blue wool with (4) vest pockets and (6) hard rubber black buttons, interior is black cotton with steel bands with sewn leather insert, drop down piece for groin, (4) unmarked suspender style elastic straps, doughnut style snap buttons face is blue wool, four vest pockets, (6) hard rubber black buttons. Circa: 1930s Provenance: Owner's statement - "My father, Albert Love, bought the...bulletproof vest from Emil Wanatkas in late 1942. Emil had a gangster museum next to the lodge. Dimensions: Size 36 - underarm 18 inches, overall length 50 inches, overall width 19 inches, and extended suspender straps 23 inches. S/H: $300
