7 Italian Porcelain Birds: a Duck, 2 Guinea Fowl, a Rooster and 3 Chickens
Five porcelain birds, including:
A white duck with yellow bill and webbed feet, with "Italy" on the base.
Size: He is 10 1/2 inches tall and 11 inches long.
A pair of guinea fowl, beautifully painted and quite lifelike, made in Italy and signed by the same artist on May, 1949. The signature is highly stylized and not legible.
Size: The guinea fowl are 14 inches tall and 16 inches long.
Four chickens, a very fine and tall rooster, looking as though he is about to defend his family, a mother hen and two chicks, all made in Italy and very well painted and lifelike. The chicks are individually modeled, one having his head raised, the other looking downward. Only one of the chicks is marked, with "Italy" on its base, but they are all three clearly by the same artist.
Sizes: The rooster is 18 inches tall by 12 inches long. The hen is 16 1/2 inches tall and 12 inches long. The chicks are 8 inches and 6 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches and 6 1/2 inches long respectively.
Condition:
One of the guinea fowl has a repaired comb. Otherwise all are excellent.
