Also included are 53 loose maps From Bradford's 1835 Atlas (10x13 inches), 34 maps from Thomson's General Atlas c. 1839.(sheets10 by 13 inches) and a handful of color maps from Mitchell's School Atlas C. 1850'sMaps from Bradford and Thomson are outlined in color. Note---The North American maps from these three atlases have been removed and are not included among the approximately 100+ maps offered here. Faden Maps are hand colored 2 sheet maps 21 inches wide by 33 inches tall. A number actually a little larger. Likely an fromedition from the mid 1790's to about 1800. A list : 1. A John Andrew map " A New Map of Italy including Sicily and Corsica.... sized 26 x 31 inches. Numbered map 20. 2. A Wall map of 20 x 46 inches . Map number 37 from the 1794 Faden Atlas- The Boulton version off the Earlier D'Anville map of Africa. This map has the large inset of the 'Particular Chart of the Gold Coast" and extends past the Island of Madagascar. This map was also made to be joined with large 2 sheets containing the northern part of Africa and the title vignette.Some creasing at the folds. (sheets 10 by 13 inches). 3. A 2 sheet "Carte Generale des Etats du Roi de Sardaigne" this map dated 1783 but likely a later issue from the mid 1790's. (#21). 4. A 2 sheet (21 x 36) map dated 1793 "A Map of the Peninsula of India from the 19th Degree to Cape Comorin" . This map outlines the territories as agreed by the Partition Treaty at Seringapatam in 1792. (#35). 5. Europe Exhibiting its Principal States...Faden dated 1791. (#4). `6. Wheeler regarding ehe course of the British Cavalry and the Route of Prisoners from Condopour to Madras. [21x 36 inches). (#34). 14. A New Map of the German Empire dated 1788. 15. Faden Map dated 1785 "Mediterranean Sea with the Adjacent Regions and Seas in Europe..." Note this map has a 4 inch closed tear affecting the large vignette at the bottom left. Also a shorter tear along the fold at the top of the vignette. A larger map 26x36 inches. 16. "New Map of Kingdoms of Spain and Portugal" dated 1790. 17. A Chart of the Coast of Spain and Portugal" Dated 1780 but stated 2nd ed. 18. Map of France divided into Provinces. dated 1790. 19. Map of the Northern Part of France dated 1793 concerning the operations of the allied armies against the French. 20. A Map depicting the Area from the Black Sea and the bottom edge of Russia in the North down to the Mediteranean in the south. Kurdistan on the East and the boot of Itlay to the West. A larger than 2 sheet Map #18 in the 1794 Faden Atlas. Note a 4 inch tear along the forld affecting part of Bulgaria and into the Black Sea.
