A very handsome and large Munich made stein by Martin Panson depicting the City of Munich, with the coat of arms at the bottom, and a motto. The ceramic handle is topped with an ornate pewter finial on the hinge, connected to a very handsome pewter lid that has been engraved with a presentation. The body of the stein is gray, and it is stamped 1L by the hinge. Size: 10 1/4 inches tall.
The second stein is more typical with a white body and a scene of a stag and a doe, flanked by branches. There is a lithopane with a portrait of a uniformed man, possibly the King of Bavaria. Size: 9 3/4 inches.
