2 Framed Silk Velvet Paintings of Shells Possibly From an Antique Garment.

Two very interesting scenes of sea shells painted on very old appearing silk velvet pieces in matching heavy gilt frames. One is of a single shell with a background of leaves resembling baby's breath. The other is a different shell at a different angle, on a similar background. The cloth appears to be very old silk velvet in a pale off-white color. Size: 13 inches by 9 1/2 for the painted material. The frames are 21 tall by 18 inches.

Condition:

The cloth is somewhat worn and faded, but the painting is excellent.
