11 first edition books from the Holt Rinehart series "Rivers of America". 10 first editions in jacket, one limited first edition in slipcase: 1. The St. Croix 1965. #216 of the limited signed edition in slipcase. Blue Cloth Book, nice and bright. Slipcase lightly sunned. 2. The Cape Fear 1965. Blue cloth book with clean covers. Owner bookplate on front ep., along with a pen inscription about how the author was a friend of the book owner. No other names or marking. Jacket is unclipped with light rubbing to extremes and a one-inch closed tear bottom front panel. 3. The Savannah 1951. Blue cloth book nice and fresh with an owner bookplate on the pastedown. Unclipped jacket also fresh with slight rubbing to extremes and slightest of spine fade. 4. The French Broad 1955. Rust-colored cloth book is just about fine. Nicely inscribed and signed by Dykeman on the front ep. Sharp, Very Good Plus unclipped jacket with so light soil to rear cover. 5. The Delaware 1940. Gray cloth with some rubbing along the edges and an owner bookplate on the half title page-Else Clean. Fairly bright unclipped jacket with light loss at spine ends and some soiling to rear panel. 6. The Cuyahoga 1966. Rust-colored cloth book is fine. Jacket unclipped with very slight spine fade and some soil to rear cover. 7. The Salinas 1945. Red cloth book is near fine with light rubbing to the extremes. No names or marking internally. Jacket is price clipped with slight fading to spine. 8. The Saskatchewan 1950. Green cloth.Very slight rubbing to cover edges. No names or marking. Jacket is price clipped with a clear tape repair to top of the spine. Otherwise, just slight edge wear to the jacket. 9. The Cumberland 1973. Mustard cloth covers with one inch along top edge front cover worn through. Otherwise book nice and fresh. A small date in pen and the remains of a small address label on the front pastedown. Otherwise, the book is fine. Jacket is unclipped and about fine with some light wear at extremes. 10. The Niagara 1972. Orange cloth with light rubbing to corners. Signed by Braider on the front endpaper. Also on the endpaper is a small owner address label. On the pastedown is a bookplate. Unclipped jacket is fresh with some light wear at extremes and some creasing at the lower front flap. 11. The Merrimack 1958. Blue cloth book is about fine with slight rubbing to extremes. Unclipped jacket is fine.
